East Bay Cyber is a community of cybersecurity practitioners based in the East Bay — Oakland, Berkeley, Walnut Creek, Fremont, and everywhere in between. We're builders, defenders, researchers, and operators who happen to share a region and an interest in keeping things secure.
We host monthly meetups, hands-on workshops, and informal networking events that don't require a corporate badge or a tradeshow budget to attend. Topics range from offensive techniques and incident response to AI security, identity, and the day-to-day reality of running a security program.
Anyone working in or adjacent to security is welcome — security pros, students, founders, IT teams, and the curious-but-careful. If you live or work in the East Bay and care about this stuff, you're in the right place.
